The John Durham inquiry appears to be ending quietly
As T.S. Eliot wrote in his 1925 poem, The Hollow Men, “This is the way the world ends: Not with a bang, but a whimper” … and so too has gone the inquiry by Special Counsel John Durham. After three years of investigating the origins of the Russia investigation and whether former President Trump’s campaign had any ties to Russian intelligence, a New York Times report on Wednesday said the grand jury used by Durham to present evidence has expired. The report further stated there are no plans to convene another grand jury and that one of the lead prosecutors in the case is leaving. All this suggests the investigation may be winding down.
